Yoga for the whole family

Family Yoga is an opportunity for children, parents and even grandparents to spend quality time together, while enjoying a fun and healthy activity. Yoga is something that you can share with your child, no matter what age. The instructors gear the class to the ages in the rooms, getting silly with the little ones and offering more “real yoga” or fun challenges for the older ones. Partner poses create moments to bond, connect, communicate and laugh with your kid. We'll explore different postures and sequences and play yoga games, all while building confidence, self-esteem, and strong healthy bodies. Children and parents will practice how to focus and centre themselves though breathing and relaxation. 

Family Yoga is a drop-in class that takes place on Wednesday evenings from 6-6:45pm, or Sunday mornings from 10:30-11:15am.

Tots Yoga is a fun, silly and soothing class that you share with your toddler or preschooler. Introduce your child to yoga and mindfulness in a playful way. Expect to roar like a lion, wag your doggy tail, laugh in a partner pose, and move your body in fun and challenging ways! We will use yoga poses and creative movement to go on adventures, and learn strategies to calm our bodies and minds. Younger ones might run around in between participating, or stay close to their caregiver and watch - trust that they are taking it in, and will probably surprise you with a downward dog or a tree pose once back in the comfort of their home!

Tots Yoga is a drop-in class that takes place on Friday mornings from 9:30-10:10am.

Do I have to pay for my child as well?

Nope! Family Yoga and Tots Yoga uses one class pass per family.

Do I need to bring Yoga mats?

Bring them if you like. We provide mats free of charge.

What should I wear?

Wear something you feel comfortable moving in!

What if my kid just runs around?

This is a casual, family-friendly environment and we get that all kids are different. Your child can participate at their comfort level. The point is more that you are connecting and having fun together, not that the child is doing everything the teacher says.

My child would like to do a class with their peers. Do you offer Kids only classes?

Yes! Every few months we run a 5 or 6 week session of Kids Yoga, split into two age groups. Junior Kids are 4-7 year olds and Senior Kids are 8-11 year olds. Check out the details about our next Kids Yoga courses here.

I’d love to bring my older child to a regular yoga class. Are there age restrictions?

If you think your child would enjoy an adult class, we are open to them attending regular yoga with you. We have a few mother-daughter duos coming regularly to our evening classes. For adult classes, it uses one class pass per person. We let families share our 5 and 10 class passes, and there is also a Family Membership. Check out the different purchase options here.
