Postpartum Therapeutic Arts and Peer Support Group

second monday of the month (June 11, July 9 & August 13)

from 1-2:30pm, $5/session (cash only) to cover materials

Being a mom can be really hard.

Do you feel:

  • overwhelmed or regularly anxious?
  • sad?
  • different from your “normal self”?
  • often worried about your baby/children in a way that is hard to shake?
  • have you been diagnosed with a Postpartum Mood Disorder (PPMD) or experienced a birth trauma?

If you said yes to any of these questions, this is a group that can support you.

In this drop-in group we explore our experiences of motherhood by learning from each other and from facilitator Catherine Mellinger’s experience as an Expressive Arts Therapist, group arts facilitator and mother; sharing stories and using collage to transform media representations of motherhood into a story of our own real lives and experiences.

No experience in collaging or diagnosis is required in order to attend, and your babies/children are welcome to come along - care is up to mum and group.
